Welcome to Mercury- Year 1
In Class One we are called Mercury. The children will be working with Mrs Underwood and Mrs Kay. Our priorities are for your child to feel happy, comfortable and safe in order to help them make the most of their learning.
We will work hard and follow the school rules and our classroom rules. By following these, the children will be rewarded individually through Class Dojos and postcards home, along with the occasional treat!
To support your child at home with their learning, it is really important to listen to them read at home and complete the phonics sheets that are sent home each week. There are also lots of wonderful online resources, such as Oxford Owl, Numbots, Ed Shed and Purple Mash.
Throughout the year, we have some exciting trips planned to support the children's learning and development across our topics.
