Welcome to Venus Class (Y2)
In Class 2 we are called Venus. The the children will be working with Miss Felton and Mrs Copley. Our priorities are for your child to feel happy, safe and secure in order to help them make the most of their learning.
To support your child with their learning, it is really important that you hear them read at least three times a week at home and support them in learning their spellings each week too.
Please help us to develop your child’s independence, by allowing them to come into the cloakroom on their own each morning and get themselves organised.
Over the course of the year we take a walk around the village looking for signs of Victorian Silkstone, spend a day at Cliffe House and enjoy a trip to Cleethorpes. We also take part in The Nativity each year along with the rest of KS1.
I'm sure we can all work together to make class 2 a positive and exciting year in school!
