Welcome to Class One
In Class One, the children will be working with Mrs Underwood and Mrs Kay. Our priorities are for your child to feel happy, comfortable and safe in order to help them make the most of their learning.
We will work hard and follow the school rules and our class room rules. By following these the children will be rewarded individually through class dojos and postcards home, along with the occasional treat!
To support your child at home with their learning it is really important to listen to them read at home and complete the phonics sheets that are sent home each week. There are also lots of wonderful online resources such as Oxford Owl, Numbots, Ed Shed and Purple Mash.
Throughout the year we will take a walk around the village looking at Silkstone, this supports our drawing of maps in Geography. We also go to Wigfield Farm to see the animals in connection with our Science and Geography topics.
We look forward to spending the year being our best selves... learning, creating and having fun!

World Book Day
